Allan Morgan is a full time artist living on the borders of England and Wales. Born in 1952 he graduated from Coventry (Lanchester) Art College with a BA Honours in Fine Art. Since then his professional career has focused mainly on realist landscape and seascape paintings, although he has enjoyed considerable success as an illustrator. He has recently expanded his style to encompass a more ‘colourist’ approach in much of his work. Allan’s inspirations are his love of light, colour and atmosphere in landscape. His influences are many and varied, from the Pre-Raphaelites to impressionism, and his paintings have that timeless quality which many leading artists strive for and often never achieve.
